I have been going to Faith Bible Camp since 1995. I met my best friend there in 1996, and 2 weeks before camp started in 1997, we became husband and wife on the lawn of the camp. Both of our children grew up going to camp every year and still enjoy it year after year. I now volunteer at the camp as cook, nurse, councilor, and am on the board.

I live near camp and have seen kids' lives changed thru camp for 50 years.

I love camp because I get to see other kids learn about God. Even on a small scale, every kid goes home knowing more. I love watching the girls at the end of the week give their selves to God. I love knowing some of the girls even end up talking to pastor about getting baptized. I love the fact that our camp isn't focused on performance. I've been to other camps that are solely focused on that, live bands, the newest games, newest trends and it all feels like it is for show. Our camp has always felt like a family. Even when adults, past campers come back to help. But even if we are like a family we are all welcoming of new campers. When new kids come, they've made friends by the end of the day. I love camp nd it is something I look forward to every year.

Even though I knew the founders of the camp quite well, I didn't go to the camp, although my sisters did. Faith Bible Camp has become a fixture in our community. Sadly, many of the churches that used to frequent the camp have stopped. Mostly because the number of children in those churches has fallen off. My years with the camp have been very rewarding. It is small and local. The people are easy to work with, and the facilities are kept in operational condition. I am getting up there in years and Eileen is 10 years ahead of me. We know that the camp has great potential and hope we can help others see its worth. For the churches around here, it is a wonderful opportunity to get children involved in the work of the Lord.
